Massive Chinese Attack on US Telecoms

White House urges crackdown on US telecoms after massive Chinese hack

I was reading this article and there were two things that popped into my mind. First, that this has been going on for maybe about a decade. So, this isn’t new. The discovery and scale are. Now, the second thing that is important is that I believe U.S. individuals and entities have been benefiting from these hacks.

I don’t think this hack was limited to just Chinese actors. I feel like from some evidence I’ve got over the years that prominent, bad actors who are U.S. citizens or have U.S. based organizations have also benefited from these hacks.
